SHREVEPORT, La. (Ark-La-Tex Weekend) -

From crawfish to beer to music and fairs, the Ark-La-Tex is full of fun festivals every weekend during the Spring months. Click on the festival name to be taken to their site for more information.

Red River Water Resource Festival

May 7 | 10:00am - 2:00pm

This free festival promotes wildlife, environmental protection, water safety and water health. Even find out all of the great things the Red River offers.

Twice as Fine Texarkana Wine Festival

May 7 | 11:00am-7:00pm

It’s a one-of-a-kind wine, art and music festival. Wineries from across Texas will let you sample their product. Gourmet treats, great music, and fantastic art will be on hand as well.

Kegs & Corks Craft Beer, Wine, and Music Festival

May 7 | 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm

The East Bank District comes alive! Sample some local and regional craft beers and wines. Listen to local artists and snack on some local cuisine.

7th Annual Cinco de Mayo on the Square

May 7 | Noon - 11:45 pm

Party on the square with authentic Mexican food, Mariachi bands and Mayan dancers. Es una fiesta divertida!

Shreveport Derby Day

May 7 | 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Celebrate the Kentucky Derby in your derby finest and sip on a mint julep or two. Play some lawn games and have a great time.

30th Annual Mayhaw Festival

May 7

It’s a day full of fun, craft and food vendors, an antique car and motorcycle show, tours of the Newton House Museum, and a 5K fun run. Of course there will be lots of Mayhaw jelly.

13th Annual Aseana Spring Festival

May 14 | 11:00am - 5:00pm

Experience the cultures that make up the Asian communities of Northwest Louisiana. Enjoy the art and music while feasting upon great cuisines from all over the region.

Historic Jefferson Train Show

May 14-15

Check out the impressive model trains, layouts and the Railroad Museum. Ride the Historic Jefferson Railway and the Lonesome Dove Safari Train.

33rd Annual Magnolia Blossom Festival

May 20-21

Celebrate the namesake tree and flower of the great city of Magnolia. See the art show along with the parade, car show and more. Stay and partake in the World Championship Steak Cook-Off.

25th Annual Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival

May 20-21

The riverbank will come alive with R&B, Jazz and a whole lot more.

Stagecoach Days

May 20-22

Have fun with a parade, historical plays, vendors and stagecoach rides.

29th Authentic Bonnie & Clyde Festival

May 27-28

Friday night kicks off with a historian’s meeting and dinner. Saturday scheduled events include a Bonnie & Clyde look-a-like contest, a “shoot-out” downtown, cake walks, and lots of live entertainment.

Mudbug Madness

May 27-29

Eat crawfish. Do a little shopping. Eat more mudbugs. Listen to the great music. Eat even more crawfish. You get the idea. It’s a fun way to start Memorial Day Weekend.

Acrofest 2022

March 5 | 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Celebrate the Oklahoma state dinosaur Acrocanthosaurus atokensis! Have fun at the Dino Dance parties. See a replica of the Jurassic Park jeeps and more.

22nd Annual Bloomin’ on the Bricks

March 12 | 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Downtown Natchitoches comes alive with color with thousands of flowers. Shop lawn and garden vendors and listen to music from Northwestern State University bands.

Cane River Film Festival

March 18-19

The festival looks to share Louisiana stories with a world wide audience. Highlights include student and independent filmmakers.

Crawfest

March 18-20

For the first time in three years, this celebration of crawfish and food will sure to delight everyone! Plus some really good music.

Spring Awakening Festival

March 18-20

Experience a Viking Age festival that features leatherworking, blacksmithing, folk music and family games. Think a renaissance faire with Scandinavian influences.

Louisiana Redbud Festival

March 19

Spend most of the day having fun from a 5K color run to a rodeo to a car show, parade and carnival. All to celebrate the Redbud tree.

Bossier City Makers Fair

March 19 | 11:00am - 6:00pm

Over 125 local artists and makers line the pedestrian boulevard at the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets. Come out to shop and see what’s new. Grab a bite to eat and listen to live entertainment and kid’s activities.

2nd Annual Spring Fling

Merchants around downtown kick off the spring season with family fun and shopping.

Six acts take the stage: Pokey Bear, Jeter Jones, O.B. Buchana, Melvia “Chick” Rodgers, Calvin Richardson, and Tucka.

Spring Rose Festival & Garden Marketplace

Inaugural Louisiana Bigfoot Film Festival

March 26

If you’re a fan of the legendary monster, make plans to see a bunch of films dealing with Bigfoot. Plus meet filmmakers and stars from Bigfoot TV shows.

1st Annual Gibsland Parafest

March 26 | 11:00am - 6:00pm

This 1930′s themed event commemorates the lives of Bonnie & Clyde. Meet two of their relatives, go on paranormal investigations, a costume contest and more.

29th Annual Dogwood Days Festival

April 1-2

It will be a safe and exciting time with food, live music, games, a pageant and more. Enter the Cornhole and Horseshoe Tournaments or the Tyson Chicken cookoff.

76th Annual Four States Fair & Rodeo

April 1-10

Get ready for one of the largest events in the area.. The rides, food and fun are back along with the Demolition Derby and the Four States Fair Rodeo.

Over 100 wines will be served as well as a lot of tasty treats. Meet and talk wine with experts and enjoy live music and participate in the raffle drawings.

Bloom on Main Spring Fest

River City Fest 2022

April 7-9

They’re going bigger and better this year. See a parade, firework display, pageant, games/contests, car show, carnival, food, music, and arts/crafts.

158th Anniversary Battle of Pleasant Hill Reenactment and Festival

April 8-10

It was the biggest battles of the Civil War west of the Mississippi. The Battle of Pleasant Hill is remembered every year with a reenactment. Learn about what happened during and after the battle.

Greek Riverfront Festival

April 9 | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Celebrate 100 years of fraternity and sorority life at Northwestern State University with great music, food, fun, brotherhood and sisterhood.

Scottish Tartan Festival

April 23 | 10:00am-6:00pm

Minden honors Scottish culture. Music this year from Smithfield Fair, Highland Reign, Cleghorn and Emerald Accent. Visit the clans, enjoy the Children’s Area, see the dog show Highland Coos and do a little shopping.

Germantown Bluegrass Festival

Listen to seven Bluegrass bands then hitch a ride to the Germantown historic site.

28th Annual Zwolle Loggers & Forestry Festival

April 23

See how our local loggers and forestry service members do their trade. Try your hand all sorts of forestry skills. Get dirty in the Mud Bog.

First Annual Southern Arkansas Jazz Festival

Enjoy clinics, performances and a finale concert from the Southern Arkansas University Jazz Ensemble with guest artists Jessy J and Nathan Warner.

Inaugural Pinefest

Have fun at this free festival featuring old fashioned carnival games, miniature train rides, free pine saplings and complimentary hot dogs and drinks.

75th Jefferson Historical Pilgrimage

April 28-May 1

Explore four historic homes and enchanting gardens. Witness a re-enactment of the infamous trial of Diamond Bessie. Plus a salad luncheon at The Excelsior House hotel, quilt exhibit and craft fair.

State Fair of Louisiana Spring Fest

29th Annual Choctaw Apache Tribe of Ebarb Annual Powwow
