Beautiful scenes at the Jonquil Festival

The park will be full of flowers

WASHINGTON, Ark. (Ark-La-Tex Weekend) -

The Historic Washington State Park hosts the 54th Annual Jonquil Festival on March 18-19, 2022. On both days, experience the beauty of the flowers around the 19th century buildings while shopping local craft and food vendors. While there, check out the historic buildings and visit the Print Museum and the Weapons Museum. Adding to the fun will be the Four States Iron Munchers, a 5K run and a car show.

Food choices include the Williams Tavern Restaurant serving a buffet from 11:00am-3:00pm on both days as well as the Hope Lions Club fish fry. The fish fry takes place from 3:00pm-6:30pm. Tickets are $15 for 3 fish fillets, French fries, coleslaw, pinto beans, and hushpuppies. Money raised from the fish fry benefits the Washington Volunteer Fire Department.

In the evenings starting at 6:00pm, Northwest Arkansas country/rock artist Dillan Cane takes the stage for some entertainment. The festival is a free event but parking costs $5. Tours of the park are at normal rates.
