A new wine festival comes to Shreveport

The 3 Strands Wine Festival looks to become a holiday tradition

SHREVEPORT, La. (Ark-La-Tex Weekend) - The holiday season often means great times with friends and family and usually some wine. Dr. Anthony Jenkins has brought these ideas of holiday friendship and wine together for the inaugural 3 Strands Wine Festival. The event takes place on Saturday, December 3 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Shreveport’s Festival Plaza.

Organizers are bringing together 100 wines to try. Local wineries and vineyards will be on site with their beverages. Plus, partake in cocktail snacks from area restaurants. Snap a few pictures in front of holiday-themed backdrops and have a great afternoon.

Why call it 3 Strands? Dr. Jenkins spins a tale about the bond he has with his brother and mother. They would debate the qualities of a wine. “One evening as we debated, my mother jokingly said “how about you just try them all!” And that day 3 Strands Wine Events was born.” Dr. Jenkins hopes you’ll enjoy your experience and drink responsibly.

Tickets are limited at $75 per person and can be purchased here.
